Cycling in the Scheldt region

This region follows the path of the Scheldt from East Flanders to Antwerp. It is an ideal region for cycling along the many towpaths along the river. You end up in nice, typical villages such as Mariekerke and Flemish towns such as Dendermonde. If you're cycling in the Dender region, than you'll definitely have to visit the bicycle-friendly county town of Aalst.

Some of these routes are connected to the very practical bicycle network of numbered junctions.
