Cycling in Trentino - Alto Adige

In Trentino you'll find the largest selection of bike paths in Italy: the cyclist can choose between more than 300 km of safe and well maintained bike paths. It doesn't mather if you're a mountain biker, a race biker, if you're experienced or not ...
All routes are designed with specific signage, stops, Bici grills (restaurants for cyclists with information points and sometimes a workshop) and internet points.

Your bike paths are perfectly compatible with the railroad network of Trentino and you can regain your strength by combining your bike trip partly with a train ride towards your destination.
One of the most famous, and also the longest routes of the region is the cycle path of the Valle Dell'Adige. It takes you for 82 km through towns and villages, but also through the countryside with its vineyards and orchards. This route is further divided into the Northern and Southern Valle Dell'Adige.

The Via del Brenta, which is part of the ancient Via Claudia Augusta, the Roman road that ran from the Danube to the Adriatic coast, is 45 km long. This road runs along villages, passes Lake Caldonazzo and crosses the River Brenta.

Mountain bikers can lose themselves in the paths along the eastern Dolomites as they're crossing the valley of Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa. This route is about 50 km long and provides the most spectacular views of the Dolomites.

The Lake of Garda is a magnet for the cycling tourism. There's also the possibility to cycle along the former railway trail.

In the valley of Val di Sole you can bike along the mountain stream the Noce. On this path you will also have a lot of cultural possibilities to explore. You'll bike through authentic villages, old churches, castles and mills.
