Northern Rhone Valley

An extensive 150 km network of biking trails connects hills and valleys in the holiday region of Gstaad. The downhill rides can be tailored to the cyclist’s ability and steering skills. Whether you want to climb mountain passes, tour the country side or take an easier pace following idyllic mountain streams, this is the perfect place for you. Magnificent natural spectacles, calmness and solitude allow you to forget the hectic pace of everyday living. The fresh Gstaad Alpine air is guaranteed to revitalise body and soul. This region also provides a well developed network of electric bike support.

Gstaad – Lauenensee

This easy route for families and leisure cyclists climbs steadily in the direction of Gmünte and Louibach. From there it’s a gentle cycle ride along the road as far as Lauenen. After the village of Lauenen you pass through the outstanding Rohr conservation area, which includes Lake Lauenen (Lauenensee).

Gstaad – Feutersoey – Arnensee or Gsteig – Col du Pillon  - Lac Retaud

After the village of Feutersoey the route splits and you can either continue on towards Arnensee (lake) or to the Col du Pillon. Discover the outstanding Arnensee and Lac Retaud mountain lakes. The route to lac Retaud is ideal for those flyer cyclists, who prefer a more challenging climb, while the Arnensee route is a bit less steep, and easier to do with the electronic bike.

Gstaad – Turbach

This route for families and “wellness” enthusiasts starts in Gstaad, then passes through the pretty Turbach valley and continues to Wintermatte via the village Turbach. On the return journey, the route goes via Bissen, where you can enjoy wonderful views towards Gstaad before heading back to Gstaad itself.

Saanen – Chalberhöhni – Eggli – Gstaad – Saanen

The first section of this route leads from Saanen on a small asphalt road to Chalberhöni. The flyer-bike makes the ascent to the Eggli much easier. Once they reach the top, sporting enthusiasts will be rewarded with a beautiful mountain panorama. A zigzag path leads down to Grund near Gstaad and then follows the cycle path back to the starting point, offering a beautiful landscape once again.

Saanenmöser – Hornberg

Wellness flyer cyclists are challenged on this route. The helpful assistance of the electric bike can be used to the full on the steady climb of Saanenmöser. The effort is certainly worth it as the view from the Hornberg down into the valley and over the mountains is spectacular. The donwhill return leg of the route offers real cycling pleasure.

Gstaad – Chateau d’Oex – Col Des Mosses – Col du Pillon - Gstaad

This route starts between Gstaad and Chateau d’Oex and then ascends gradually via L’Etivaz on the Col des Mosses. Then you can choose between the main road to les Diablerets and the cycle path via Voëttes. The route between Les Diablerets and the Col du Pillon is steep but followed by a enjoyable descent via the idyllic village of Gsteig to Gstaad.
