The Lac de Neuchâtel is the largest lake entirely on Swiss territory. With its 38 km length, you can perfectly drive around it.

La Sarraz - Lac de Neuchâtel - Vugelles la Motte (60.54 km) - Race bike

This tour leaves from La Sarraz and goes continuously in an ascending and descending way. About halfway, approximately at the height of the village of Champagne, we start to descent while we're approaching the lake. Once we reach the lake, we start the second part of the trip, which is a little less heavy.

Tour du Lac de Neuchâtel (101.7 km) - Race bike

We start our tour around the lake in Delley-Portalban. it's possible to have a stop in Yverdon-les-Bains, the most important spa resort in western Switzerland, famous for its sulfur and magnesium sources, of which the beneficial effects were already experienced in ancient times.
Through Concise we arrive in Saint-Aubin-Sauge, roughly halfway this trip, we'll have one climb. Through Cortaillod we arrive in Neuchatel, chief town of the same district.

It's the ideal moment to have a short break at one of the terraces near the lake. For those who have a little more time, it might be the moment to explore the small historical town with its famous city hall. A walk along the promenade and the port might be useful to stretch the legs before we drive back to our final destination, Delley-Portalban.
