How to manage your club pages

Anyone can create a club on Catena Cycling: amateurs, (semi-) professional clubs, service clubs, a group of friends getting in shape for a challenge ...

Once you created your club, you can manage these pages in the backend, the content management system (CMS) of Catena Cycling.

Whoever created the club, becomes automatically the administrator (admin) of the club. As an admin you can invite and add members, modify the details of the club, post news articles. In the backend, different admins can be indicated (see below).

How to manage your club pages

A. Click on 'manage', and you will be redirected to the backend.

You will be asked to log in again for security reasons.

B. Then you are at your club page in the backend

here you can:

1. Change the name of your club
2. Adjust the contact details of your club
3. Add an avatar (best is to use a square photo) and a banner (ideally 760X170pxl) so your club page looks good.
4. Add sponsors, possibly a team bike, info about the club, and especially add members.
5. Add news articles

 

C. This is how you ADD MEMBERS :

1. Add the e-mail address or catenacycling username in the appropriate box, and press
You can insert several members here. To send the invitation for membership, press SAVE.

2. Once a member, you can make others admin, so that they also can access the management module of your club.

 

D. How to post a NEWS ARTICLE :

1. Click on Clubnews
2. Add article (or click on an existing article if you wish to modifie it)

and proceed as follows:

1. Enter a title
2. Write your text
3. Give a brief summary. If you don't, the whole article will appear in the clubnews overview.
4. Select a category where your article belongs to, or create a new category (try to limit).
5. Publish your article

If you have experience with text editors you can also add pictures and movies in the article. For pictures, use the image manager for uploading your photos (max 150kb/photo). Place them in the correct folder => Clubs, select a letter, create your club folder and upload your pictures.

E. PICTURES, EVENTS and RESULTS

Each club member can upload pictures via the media module of the club.

Each activity at which at least one of the club members participates, appears in events.

In the results section, you can find the results realized by members of the club.
