Course team time trial :
The team time trial world Championships are taking place for the 5th time. The flat course of 40km is identical both for women and for men, and is also the same as the individual time trial course for men.
Start : at the Lusail circuit. The course is a mix of long straight strips and 14 sharp turns (11 à 90° and 3 à 180°!). It continues by a long straight part through the desert towards the artificial island of the Pearl.
The team time trial for women takes place between 9:30 and 10:50 continental time.
The team time trial for men takes place between 13:30 and 15:40 continental time.
Course road championships :
The course is completely flat. The major decisive factors are the high temperatures, the turns and the (probably) hard wind, blowing from the east, which is typical for October. This wil most certainly make the passage through the desert extra difficult.
The race starts near the Khalifa International Stadium and the arrival lies at the Pearl Boulevard (on the artificial island of The Pearl). It starts with a loop of 151,1km through the desert, followed by 7 lapses of 15,2km in Doha. The final part knows a lot of curves.
