Domaine de l'Espinet

The Southern end of the Languedoc-Roussillon and Eastern Pyrenees are less well known for cycling or mountain biking then other regions of France. This is undeserved as it is a region that has much to offer to touring cyclists, the serious road cyclists as well as the mountain biker.

This region is sparsely populated and has an authentic feel that offers cyclists varied and beautiful landscapes. South of L'Espinet you have the challenging high peaks of the Pyrenees, attacked by the Tour de France 'coureurs' every year while north and east of the Domaine the landscape speaks of lower hills and green wooded valleys and sunny vineyards all the way up to Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi.

Road cyclists
The roads are good with little traffic and above all a climate that is not too hot outside of July and August.
L’Espinet has hundreds of kms of interesting routes available for you at the reception.

Mountain bikers
L'Espinet Vacances is situated in the largest mountain bike area of the Pyrenees with a massive 870 kms of marked pistes. The experienced mountain biker can choose from 15 red and 2 black circuits, each with fast and technically challenging descents and steep climbs. For beginners or families there are 5 green and 13 blue well marked circuits. Many of the circuits can be looped or combined so that you can decide for yourself the level or length of your excursion.
