Mountain Biking in Nendaz

In Nendaz, 12 itineraries allow bikers to discover the variety in the surrounding countryside. Beginners, as well as experienced bikers, can find a circuit adapted to their abilities among the 200 km of marked tracks available. They can use most of the lifts equipped for mountain bike transportation and set off to discover the region thanks to the Tour of the Printse and the Tour of the Mont Fort. Nendaz also offers circuits recommended for electric mountain bikes.

The Mont-Fort and the Printse Tours

Mont-Fort Tour
The "Mont-Fort Tour" is a bike route which offers you the opportunity to visit the wonderful areas of Nendaz, Verbier and La Tzoumaz. You can opt between the "Easy Rider" version or the "Pro Rider" Version.


Easy Rider
The Easy Rider version of Tour du Mont-Fort offers the opportunity to visit the ski areas of Nendaz, Verbier and La Tzoumaz clockwise.
Among the highlights of this tour are: Tracouet lake; passing by the Tortin Glacier; the view of the Massif du Mont-Blanc; the descent of the Col des Gentianes (2894m) and arriving at the summit of the Croix de Coeur.
Despite the length of this tour, it is accessible to the majority of skill levels due to the various lifts used along the way.

Pro Rider
The Pro Rider version of Tour du Mont-Fort offers the opportunity to visit the ski areas of Nendaz, Verbier and La Tzoumaz clockwise.
Among the highlights of this tour are: Tracouet lake; passing by the Tortin Glacier; the view of the Massif du Mont-Blanc; the descent of the Col des Gentianes (2894m) and arriving at the summit of the Croix de Coeur.
In contrast with the Easy Rider tour this circuit avoids the use of lifts. The gondola of Cole des Gentianes is the only lift in this circuit. It is the only way to return to Tortin. Here is a chart that summarizes in chart form the details of the Pro.

The Printse Tours


Easy Rider
The Easy Rider version of Tour de la Printse offers the opportunity to visit the ski areas of Nendaz and Veysonnaz clockwise.
Despite the length of this tour, it is accessible to the majority of skill levels due to the various lifts used along the way.
The technical level required for this tour is not too high. More important is to have had experiences at altitude on dirt and gravel mountain trails.

Pro Rider
The Pro Rider version of Tour de la Printse offers the opportunity to visit the ski areas of Nendaz, Veysonnaz, Les Collons and Thyon clockwise.
From Nendaz to Les Collons througout Veysonnaz, the route takes the Grand Raid route, the famous mountain bike race. Once you reach Thyon after an uphill through the forest, you will come back to Siviez through the alpine. In contrast with the Easy Rider tour this circuit avoids the use of lifts.
The technical level should pose no problems for those athletes who are looking for a training tour.
