Road World Championships 2012 Valkenburg (NL)
In 2012 the World Cycling Championships road cycling are held in Valkenburg , Dutch Limburg. From Saturday 15 to Sunday 23 September, South Limburg will be organizing this event where the world championship is being contested in the various categories of the UCI Road Cycling disciplines. The World Cup lasts for nine days. By spreading this World Cup over a longer period, the UCI and the organization want to pay more attention to the amateur sport and youth.
The extension of the program over two weekends instead of one, is a major innovation. Furthermore, new races were added to the program as the team trial for sponsor teams (men and women), a recreational version and various recreational activities.
