Les Deux Alpes was only included in the Tour in recent history. The climb is around the corner of the even more famous Alpe d'Huez and can thus also from Bourg d'Oisans attacked. Remember, just like Alpe d'Huez, Les Deux Alpes is a ski resort, but here you have to take the same route back down. The climb begins at Les Clapiers which are accessed from the N91 (road cycling). Its immediately rather steep. After the first tunnel, you get a view of the Gorges de l'Infernet. In the climb described here, you take the road to Le Ponteil at Le Rivoire, after a few kilometers. Here it goes up real hard for about three kilometers - 10%! Luckily you can blow out after a few kilometers near Le Bons Ponteil where you join the route from Lac Chambon, and start the second part of the climb with averages of more than 7%. Not to be missed.address
