Nendaz : Family friendly mountain biking
If you think mountain biking in the Alps is reserved for the die-hards, then you're wrong. It's perfectly possible to follow a "kids friendly" route, with the entire family (kids from 7 years and older). Beneath, you'll find 2 "family friendly" mountain bike courses in the Nendaz region. Both start at Tracouet (2.200m), at the arrival of the ski lifts and are signposted with special "kids friendly" labels.
Panoramic mountain biking along centennial larches
You take the ski lift upto Tracouet (2.200m). From there, you'll have a breathtaking panoramic view on the Rhone Valley and the Alps. Before your start the descent towards Nendaz, you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Tracouet Lake. You'll pass along the hamlet of Balavaux, a nature reserve with more than 250 larches of hundreds of years old, and along the rugged nature of the Maretse. Need for a stop ? It's the ideal moment to enjoy the splendid view at the terrace of the Cabane de Balavaux, before you continue the descent through the alpine meadows, forests and typical hamlets, with Nendaz as final destination.
