Although this doesn't have the history and reputation of some of the nearby climbs, it is a fun climb. The road surface is good throughout and you can easily establish a good rhythm. Towards the top there is a nice series of switchbacks although there isn't too much to see at the top itself as any views are limited by the fact that you're still below the treeline. The surrounding villages are beautiful and stereotypically nice alpine/Dolomite villages. It is a real pity that the Giro rarely travels along these roads much these days as the Dolomite climbs are incredibly beautiful even if they aren't as super difficult as climbs elsewhere.

Like a number of Dolomite climbs, there can be a lot of motorbike riders zooming arond in the late spring/summer time which can be a bit of an annoying distraction from the tranquility!
