The col de Glandon is a straightforward col with a gradient that increases the nearer the summit with the last seven kilometres being the toughest on the whole climb. The last two kilometres are over ten percent with stretches of 12 percent.

Superbe montée dans un environnement grandiose. Garder quelques ressources pour les deux derniers kilomètres mais globalement ça passe pas mal.

De Col du Glandon is een bergpas in de Franse Alpen, vooral bekend uit de Ronde van Frankrijk. De Col du Glandon is 1924 meter hoog, en bevindt zich middenin het Grandes Rousses massief, naast de Col de la Croix-de-Fer.

De weg erheen bestaat sinds 1898 en werd in 1912 verlengd naar de Col de la Croix-de-Fer. Hij is slechts toegankelijk tussen mei en oktober. De Col du Glandon behoort tot de gemeente Saint-Colomban-des-Villards.

Col du Glandon (1,924 m (6,312 ft)) - known from the Tour de France) - is a mountain pass in the French Alps (Savoie), linking Le Bourg-d'Oisans to La Chambre. It is situated between the Belledonne, Grandes Rousses and Arvan-Villards mountains, near the Col de la Croix de Fer. The road over the Col du Glandon was opened in 1898, and extended to the Col de la Croix de Fer in 1912.
