The northside Col de Portalet (Col de Pourtalet) starts in Laruns in the Parc National des Pyrenees. The D934 runs almost equal with the N134. Both are nort-southe connections between France and Spain, the first going over the Col du Somport. Both roads are quite busy cause there are not too many roads in the neighbourhood. The Col de Portalet is pretty irregular, unlike what the profile might suggest. Hard too get into the right rythm, though never getting very steep. Only the last part, after the Lac de Fabrèges goes up continuously.address
