Ultra Raid de la Meije

The Ultra Raid de la Meije was for the first time organized in 2011.The marathon takes place in the french department of the Hautes Alpes and can be done in 1 or 2 days. The setting is the area of the majestic Meije mountain, with a heigth of 3.983 m dominating the other glaciers.

According to the majority of the participants, this marathon is definitely the most beautiful, but yet the hardest and the most technical one. The best trained participants (elite) have to count an average of 3 hours longer to arrive at the finish, compared to the Grand Raid. The Salzkammergut is even a cinch compared to the Ultra Raid de la Meije. Technically, the Roc Azur is coming in the neighbourhood, but due to its amount of altimeters (5.150m) the Ultra Raid La Meije remains unbeated. It stands for mountainbiking in a splendid setting, with endless single tracks and steep downhill trails.

The edition 2016 takes place on september 17ht ad 18th.

Raid Ultra 2 stages :
Stage 1  - Galibier-les Cerces - 70km - 3.000 altimeter
Stage 2  - Emparis-Besse - 50km - 2.500 altimeter
You can also choose to ride 1 stage.

Rando Raid :
Stage 1 : Les Cerces 50km - 1.790 altimeter
Stage 2 : Besse 35 km - 1.690 altimeter

Rando Découverte :
Rando Découverte de l'Aiguillon 18km - 800 altimeter
