Cyclosportives and tour races

Beautiful events for recreational and amateur cyclists have originated over the years, over and above the official competitions and these have been organised by or under the supervision of national and international cyclist associations. These include journeys along roads or paths with signs indicating the route, mostly with provisions and technical support on the way. This are annually gaining popularity, with the result that many organisations have to close their registration far in advance.

There are time trials, the so-called gran fondos or long-distance races, the stage races without time trials and events where competition makes way for the friendly and family aspect of cycling.

Marmotte, Tour du Mont Blanc, Tour of Flanders Cyclo, Paris-Roubaix, Milan-Sanremo ... are competitions for cycling amateurs. You'll find the details beneath.
