Amstel Gold Race 2013
The Amstel Gold Race is the most famous Dutch pro cycling race and one of the heaviest World Tour races. This 48th edition took place on April 14th 2013.

The start of the Amstel Gold Race 2013 is situated at the Market Place of Maastricht. The finish ot this 48th edition will not be at the top of the Cauberg. The new finish will be 1.8 km (1.12 mi) further, at exactly the same spot of the World Championships' finish in 2012. Furthermore, the cyclists will have to climb the Cauberg an extra time in the final phase.
By changing the finish, the organisation expects a more exciting finish and arrival : the cyclistst will have to continue for another 1.8 km (1.12 mi) after they have been climbing the Cauberg (800 m., average level 12%) before they reach the finish.
In the final phase of the race, the participants will have to climb the Cauberg an extra time. Afterwards, they're heading for the Geulhemmerberg (970 m., average level 7.9%), after which they will be driving in the direction of Maastricht. Via the Bemelerberg (900 m.average level 7%) and Sibbe they will return to Valkenburg where they will have to face the Cauberg another - fourth and last - time.
The total distance covered in this 48th Amstel Gold Race is 251 km (155.96 mi). During the race, there will be 34 climbs and 4.000 altimeters on the program.
