Enrico Gasparotto (Astana Pro Team) won the Amstel Gold Race, in a perfect sprint atop the Cauberg ahead of Jelle Vanendert (Lotto Belisol Team) and Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Cannondale).
Oscar Freire Gomez (Katusha Team) finished fourth. Two-time defending champion Philippe Gilbert (BMC Racing Team) was 6th behind Frenchman Thomas Voeckler (Europcar).
