The road circuit Elite Men counts 259,2 km, the individual lapses each 16,2 km, including 3 short steep climbs and various cobblestone strips.
Course :
The total distance covered by the course is 16,2 km. Half way, you have the first cobblestone strip, called Shockoe Slip. The route continues along the channel and passes the Great Shiplock Park. A U-turn of 180° is followed by a 350m climb on Main street, immediately followed by a 250m climb in the Libby Hill Park, paved with cobblestones.
A few turns further, you'll have a 110 m partially paved climb with averages upto 20%.
Then, you'll have a descent towards Shockoe Bottom – one of the oldest neighborhoods in town, followed by a climb of 350m in Governor Street, and a slight ascent of 680 meter towards the finish.
