One of the most difficult climbs in Europe, the Zoncolan has been compared with El Angliru, the fearsome climb in the Spanish region of Asturias. Both mountains are narrow and twisty and 13km long, with the Spanish mountain slightly steeper overall at 9.6 percent compared with Monte Zoncolan's 9 percent. But the Zoncolan has an even more difficult finish. The three final kilometers are killing from this side.address
