Début très difficile avec énormément de circulation, de très longues lignes droites, un soleil qui frappe fort et des pourcentages ( près de 10%) qui font très mal. Ensuite tout se calme durant quatre kilomètres avant de repartir à la hausse. La partie à droite au carrefour à 1380 m d'altitude est plus difficile, le Tour de France 2012 a emprunté la partie de gauche au carrefour.

Dit is een vrij eenvoudige klim van eerste categorie die bestaat uit twee delen met daartussen een kort stuk om op adem te komen. Hij start op de top van Les Lacets de Montvernier en daalt af over de weg die in de 19de Etape du Tour 2015 wordt beklommen.

The climb itself (first category) is rnot too heavy, consisting of two parts and a short middle part which enables you to recover. It starts at the top of the Lacets de Montvernier. In the Tour of 2015, it will be climbed from the other way.
