Clásica San Sebastián

The Clásica San Sebastián or Donostia-Donostia Klasikoa in the Basque language, is a cycle race that was for the first time organized in 1981. Since 2005, it is part of the UCI ProTour and since 2011 of the UCI World Tour.

This classic race is organized by the Basque newspaper El Diario Vasco. It takes place each year at the end of July, start of August. The start and finish lies in San Sebastian (Basque Country). The climb of the Jaizkibel or the Alto Arkale, both in the last 50 km of the race, are often decisive for the final result.

The 36th edition takes place on Saturday, July 30th 2016.
